Congratulations to our COO and President Abydee Butler Moore for being named President of the Gases and Welding Distributors Association (GAWDA).
Butler Gas has been a member of GAWDA since 1960. GAWDA is a trade association of suppliers and distributors within the industrial gas and welding industry, and provides safety and professional development resources to its members.
Abydee began volunteering for GAWDA in 2009 on the Member Services Committee, of which she served as chairperson until 2016. She has additionally volunteered as Regional chairperson since 2010. She joined the GAWDA Board of Directors in 2015 and was named GAWDA Mrs. X in 2017, marking her climb to the President seat for the 2019-2020 term.
Abydee was inducted as GAWDA President 2020 during this week’s Annual Convention in Washington DC. The Butler Gas Family is proud to support our gases and welding industry by giving back to this great Association.
