Chief Financial Officer, CFO (McKees Rocks, PA)

A rare opportunity to help grow a third-generation family-owned-and-operated company is becoming available now with a career development track to CFO in 3 years. The Butler family owners are seeking a CFO to join the senior executive team, provide strategic recommendations to the President and CEO, as well as lead the finance, accounting, and information technology departments.  The CFO will be responsible for integrating all teams within the company, and for keeping all financial and operational support functions ahead of our growth.

Main job responsibilities include:

  • Provide strategic recommendations to the President and CEO, and members of the executive management team and Board
  • Assess, develop, recruit, and lead talent in accounts payable, accounts receivable, finance, and IT departments
  • Develop and implement financial controls and processes
  • Oversee the accurate preparation and timely submission of all financial reports
  • Manage the processes for financial forecasting and budgets
  • Analyze and advise business opportunities including new lines of business, new locations, and potential acquisitions
  • Act as the primary corporate representative with banks, accounting firms, insurance companies, legal counsel, and tax authorities
  • Identify and lead initiatives to reduce cost and increase profitability
  • Ensure full corporate compliance with all laws and regulations
  • Review all formal finance, HR, IT, and safety-related procedures
  • Master ERP software, providing data to management to enhance business decisions

Experience/credentials required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance or related field
  • MBA or CPA, strongly preferred
  • 5-10 years of relevant financial leadership experience
  • Previous experience in privately-held manufacturing or distribution business, preferred
  • Previous experience with mergers, acquisitions, and high growth
  • Strong proficiency of finance, accounting, business systems, budgeting, and cost control
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to unite all departments at all levels
  • Ability to thrive in a family business entrepreneurial environment
