Cylinders are allowed to be stored outside, and in many cases, that is the safest area. Keep these best practices for outdoor cylinder storage in mind.
Although our Pittsburgh climate does not present this obstacle, in geographies where temperatures exceed 125 degrees, cylinders should not be in direct sunlight.
To prevent bottom corrosion, avoid prolonged exposure to wet environments like standing water or mud. It is preferable to store cylinders on graded paved surfaces such as concrete or asphalt to prevent the accumulation of water.
Remember that all cylinders in service or in storage at user locations must be secured. Butler Gas provides safe cylinder storage solutions. Contact us about cages, cylinder storage signage, and mounts.
