The Butler Gas Family is proud to celebrate John on his recent graduation from the University of Pittsburgh’s Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence (IEE) Entrepreneurial Fellows Class of 2025.
The Entrepreneurial Fellows Class (EFC) is a dynamic, results-oriented educational experience designed for business leaders looking to sharpen their skills in managing and growing their organizations. Over the course of a competitive, year-long certificate program, participants gain access to cutting-edge thought leadership, practical tools, and a powerful network of peers and advisors to enhance their impact as business leaders.
John joined Butler Gas in January 2020 and has steadily taken on greater responsibility within our organization. Over the past several years, he has played a key role in leading our operations, supporting our business development team, and strengthening our customer relationships. Colleagues know John for his strong work ethic, willingness to roll up his sleeves, and commitment to continuous improvement in how we manufacture, distribute, and serve our customers.
Participating in the EFC program is a significant commitment of time and energy, and John embraced the experience with enthusiasm. Through this intensive year, he engaged with regional leaders across industries, explored best practices in growth, strategy, and leadership, and brought fresh ideas back to Butler Gas to support our 100-Year Plan.
We are grateful to the University of Pittsburgh’s IEE, and to Bob Stein, Director of IEE and Associate Vice Chancellor for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, for their partnership in developing leaders like John. Their work in cultivating entrepreneurial leadership across our region directly strengthens companies like ours and the communities we serve.
